Translucent
porcelain lighting complements calm environment of new spa
The new spa at the Dunbrody Country House Hotel adds an extra dimension
to the Georgian manor set in 200 acres of beautiful parkland. The hotel,
whose acclaimed cuisine is created by owner and Irish Chef of the Year
2004, Kevin Dundon, is an oasis of tranquility and relaxed elegance on
the Hook Peninsular, Wexford, Ireland.
Located across the courtyard in an original stone building, the Spa at
Dunbrody puts a new twist on luxury pampering. It is designed by
international hotel and spa expert Jean-Paul Blissett of the Syntax
Group to make guests feel cocooned and at ease from the moment they
arrive for the healing and therapeutic treatments designed by Molton
Brown.
Together with the crackling fires and fresh flowers, the relaxed
environment is endorsed by unique and subtle lighting: created in fine
porcelain by Diffuse, the contemporary chandelier of tiered, handcrafted
strips of porcelain casts a warm and calming atmosphere over the
reception area, complemented by Halo pendant lamps in the same matt
unglazed material in all treatment rooms.
A
bespoke chandelier by Diffuse has also been created for the restaurant.
The porcelain is heat resistant, easy to clean and remains unaffected by
time. See website www.diffuse.co.uk
